About the Journal

The Ecuadorian Journal of Social and Environmental Development (REDSA) is a multidisciplinary, open-access scientific publication, edited by Educa Plus Editorial Académica in Ecuador. Its purpose is to disseminate original and relevant scientific knowledge for understanding and addressing the social, environmental, educational, and public health challenges of Ecuador and Latin America.

REDSA publishes original research articles, systematic reviews, literature reviews, case studies, and academic essays. All scientific manuscripts undergo preliminary editorial evaluation and double-blind peer review.

The journal is published quarterly, with four issues per year: January-March, April-June, July-September, and October-December. Accepted articles may be included in the corresponding issue through continuous publication.

The journal offers immediate and free access to all its content. There is no fee for submitting manuscripts. Applicable editorial fees are communicated transparently and only after the manuscript has been accepted. Payment does not guarantee acceptance or affect the evaluation process.

REDSA accepts contributions in Spanish and English and requires that essential metadata —title, abstract, and keywords— be available in both languages.
