Instructions for Authors

SUBMISSION POLICY

REDSA accepts original and unpublished works that have not been previously published nor are being considered for publication in another journal.

TYPES OF ARTICLES

  1. RESEARCH ARTICLES (5,000-8,000 words) Original works presenting results of scientific research.
  2. REVIEW ARTICLES (6,000-10,000 words) Systematic reviews or meta-analyses on a specific topic.
  3. CASE STUDIES (3,000-5,000 words) Detailed analyses of specific cases with academic relevance.
  4. ACADEMIC ESSAYS (3,000-5,000 words) Well-founded critical reflections on relevant topics.

SUBMISSION PROCESS

  1. Prepare your manuscript according to the journal's guidelines
  2. Register your information in the official form
  3. Submit your manuscript to: editor@redsa.ec
  4. You will receive confirmation of receipt within 48 hours
  5. Initial review by the editor (3-5 days)
  6. Peer review (20-30 days)
  7. Editorial decision notification
  8. Author corrections (if applicable)
  9. Publication

MANUSCRIPT FORMAT STRUCTURE:

  • Title (Spanish and English)
  • Abstract (150-250 words, Spanish and English)
  • Keywords (3-5, Spanish and English)
  • Introduction
  • Methodology
  • Results
  • Discussion
  • Conclusions
  • References

TECHNICAL FORMAT:

  • File: Word (.docx) or PDF
  • Font: Times New Roman 12 pt
  • Line spacing: 1.5
  • Margins: 2.5 cm
  • Numbered pages
  • Standards: APA 7th edition

BIBLIOGRAPHIC REFERENCES

Use APA 7th edition format. Examples:

  • Book: Last name, N. (Year). Book title. Publisher.
  • Journal article: Last name, N. (Year). Article title. Journal Name, volume(number), pages. https://doi.org/xxx
  • Book chapter: Last name, N. (Year). Chapter title. In N. Editor (Ed.), Book title (pp. xx-xx). Publisher.

TABLES AND FIGURES

  • Number consecutively
  • Include descriptive title
  • Cite in the text
  • High resolution (minimum 300 dpi)
  • Format: JPG, PNG or TIFF
